Air China launched a new route on April 5 from Beijing to Panama City via Houston.
The flight will be operated with a Boeing 777-300ER.
In recent years, Air China has been working to develop Beijing into a major airport hub with a truly global reach. Air China's route network already spans all six inhabited continents, and the launch of the Beijing-Houston-Panama City route marks an important milestone in its efforts to expand coverage in the Americas.
The new route is expected to greatly facilitate exchanges between the countries as well as neighbouring regions, while providing passengers with a greater range of options.
In 2013, Houston became Air China's newest destination in the United States in more than 30 years. With the launch of the flight, Bush Intercontinental became the only airport in Texas with direct service to China.
