Flavor Fest brings Houston favorites to Hobby Airport for $30

Oct 22, 2026

HOUSTON —Houston Airports will host its first Flavor Fest on Tuesday, Nov. 10, at William P. Hobby Airport (HOU). The public food festival celebrates airport favorites like pulled pork sliders from Killen’s BBQ and Crawfish étouffée from Landry’s Seafood House.

Each $30 ticket includes a small plate from every participating restaurant at the selected airport event, water and soda, live entertainment, a commemorative gift and parking. Guests can watch airport chefs compete and cast a People’s Choice vote for their favorite bite. The proceeds benefit Wings of Compassion, a nonprofit that helps airport workers during difficult times, including workers affected by this year’s partial federal government shutdown.

The invitation comes after Houston Airports celebrated a series of openings as part of a phased dining transformation.

In February 2024, The Spot, Velvet Taco and Fat Cat Creamery opened. The Rustic, Killen’s BBQ and Yard House opened in 2025. This June brought Landry’s Seafood House and the first airport location for Common Bond.

“Houston’s food is part of its identity, and we want our airports to reflect that,” said Jim Szczesniak, director of aviation for Houston Airports. “Hobby’s concessions program earned top honors among medium and small airports at this year’s Airport Experience Awards. Flavor Fest invites our neighbors to enjoy those flavors, cheer on our chefs and support our airport community. No airline ticket needed.”

A second Flavor Fest follows Nov. 17 at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), giving attendees the opportunity to sample food from some of the five terminals at IAH.

Flavor Fest builds on the Houston Airport System's celebration of local culture, from Cowboy Corner during Beyoncé’s 2025 hometown Cowboy Carter tour stop to this summer’s interactive World Cup fan zones.
