Houston Police Department Holds National Night Out at Bush Airport
October 11, 2016

Communities around the U.S. recently participated in the annual National Night Out event and the Houston Police Department at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) joined in.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign celebrated in thousands of communities across the nation. The campaign enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community.

The Houston Police Department at IAH hosted display tables with information in the terminal buildings with important safety information. Officers were available to meet and greet passengers and answer questions.

"National Night Out  helps to create police and community partnerships with a goal to make our neighborhoods a safer and better place to live," said Houston Police Officer Andrea Forch. "It is important that we share important safety information and get residents excited about participating in their own National Night Out events and the airport location provided a great opportuntiy to share our message.

National Night Out is held  annually on the first Tuesday of August. For more information, please visit NATW.org.
