Houston Aviation Director Mario Diaz recently addressed attendees at the CAPA Australia Pacific Aviation Summit on emerging technologies in the airport industry. The conference was held in Brisbane, Australia and is one of the biggest aviation and travel strategy events held in the region. The discussion focused around how airports are adopting and benefitting from innovative technologies.
Director Diaz also met with executives with Air New Zealand which recently announced plans to expand its nonstop service in Houston. The airline will increase from five flights per week to daily service for the winter travel season. Air New Zealand Chief Sales and Commercial Officer Cam Wallace said the Houston service is already proving so popular the airline is stepping up frequency to daily services from December through February and then five times per week for the rest of the year.
