Houston Airports Welcomes Offshore Technology Conference Attendees
May 16, 2019

Offshore energy professionals from around the world attended the 2019 Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) —the 50th anniversary— in Houston at NRG Park to gain insights from global experts and colleagues.

Attendees travel from around the globe to attend the annual conference. OTC 2019 welcomed over 15,000 attendees from outside the United States, a number that has increased for the last three years including attendance from dignitaries, such as Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon who visited the Korean Pavilion.

Houston Airports team members were on-hand to accommodate the increase in global passengers including assisting in the international arrivals hall to ensure passengers were processed quickly and efficiently. George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) even hosted an OTC conference registration booth allowing guests to register before arriving at the conference location.

In addition, Houston Airports Chief Technology Officer Tanya Acevedo joined Customs Border Protection Director Field Operations for Houston Field Office Jud Murdock during a presentation on biometric technology in the travel environment.

OTC 2020 will take place 4-7 May at NRG Park. For more information on the conference, click here.
