National Association of Minority Contractors (NAMC) Honors Houston Airports with its highest award
The National Association of Minority Contractors recently honored Houston Airports with its highest award, the NAMC 2019 Supreme Champion Award. NAMC is a nonprofit trade association established in 1969 to address the needs and concerns of minority contractors. While membership is open to people of all races and ethnic backgrounds, the organization’s mandate, “Building Bridges – Crossing Barriers,” focuses on construction industry concerns common to African Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanic Americans, and Native Americans.
NAMC has a network of local chapters, and in collaboration with strategic and corporate partnerships, assists members with building capacity by providing access to opportunity, advocacy, and contractor development training. Foti Kallergis, Houston Airports Director of Communications, received the award on behalf of the airport system.
Houston Airports Community Relations Officer Receives Award at the Success in Business Sixth Annual MWDBE Awards Ceremony
Houston Airports Community Relations Officer Rhonda Arnold was honored as a 2019 Minority/Women Business Warrior at the Success in Business Sixth Annual MWDBE Prime Contractor Awards Ceremony. Arnold received this award due to he hard work and dedication displayed in 2019 by her and the Houston Airports team. Arnold's passion, ideas, and strategies have helped small businesses grow in the Greater Houston area.
