AMAC Business Diversity Conference Lands in Houston June 16 - 17

The Houston Airport System is proud to host the The Airport Minority Advisory Council’s (AMAC) 33rd Annual Airport Business Diversity Conference  June 16 – 20, 2017 at the Marriot Marquis.  Mayor Sylvester Turner and Aviation Director Mario Diaz will be on hand to welcome the attendees of the annual conference themed "The Magic of Flight."

The four day conference promotes diversity and inclusion in airports and will examine trends and best practices.

This year’s key events include: the Bill Walker Memorial Golf Tournament – benefitting the AMAC Foundation’s Scholarship program and honoring one of AMAC’s own tireless servants, Bill Walker; Airport Directors 20/20 Vision Forum – providing attendees an opportunity to hear about the future of airports and the aviation industry from key Airport Directors including Houston Aviation Director Mario Diaz; Hidden Figures Jazz Brunch – celebrating AMAC Founders and paying tribute to the trailblazers portrayed in the award-winning film Hidden Figures; New Member’s Reception – highlighting AMAC membership benefits; Business Matchmaking – connecting small businesses with Airports, Agencies and Primes to fulfill their procurement needs; Catalyst Awards and Scholarship Foundation Luncheon – honoring members who have made outstanding contributions to further the goals of AMAC and Celebrating Women in Aviation Breakfast – benefitting the AMAC Foundation and celebrating the successes of women in aviation-related enterprises.
