Houston Airports is the City of Houston’s Department of Aviation. More than 1,300 Houston Airports employees work to operate George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) and Ellington Airport/Houston Spaceport (EFD).
Houston Airports served 62.1 million passengers in 2025:
- 48 million passengers at IAH
- 14 million passengers at HOU
Where we fly
In 2026, Houston Airports connects travelers to more than 200 nonstop destinations across five continents through 29 airlines. That includes 129 domestic nonstop destinations and 72 international nonstop destinations.
Houston Airports positions Houston as an international passenger and cargo gateway for the South Central region of the U.S. and serves as a primary gateway to Latin America.

Our airport operations support 207,787 jobs, resulting in:
- $40.6 billion in total output
- $13.2 billion in labor income
- $2.4 billion in state/local taxes
- $13.8 billion in cargo-related output
