Apr 23, 2026
HOUSTON — TSA PreCheck® Touchless ID is now available at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and William P. Hobby Airport (HOU), giving eligible travelers another way to move through security.
According to the Transportation Security Administration, TSA PreCheck Touchless ID enhances security screening by using facial comparison technology to verify identity faster and more efficiently. Enrolled travelers with participating airlines can move through dedicated lanes at HOU and at IAH TSA Checkpoints Terminal A-North, Terminal C-North, and Terminal E.
TSA PreCheck Touchless ID requires passengers to:
- Have TSA PreCheck
- Have an active airline profile with a participating airline
- Upload valid passport information to their airline profile
Eligible passengers will see a TSA PreCheck Touchless ID indicator on their mobile boarding pass.
Participating airlines at IAH: Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines.
Participating airlines at HOU: American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and Southwest Airlines.
Participation is optional. TSA PreCheck members who choose to use Touchless ID must still bring a REAL ID-compliant physical ID and present it if a TSA officer requests it.
According to TSA, the program is designed to improve both efficiency and security. Images captured during the process are not used for law enforcement or surveillance and are deleted within 24 hours of the scheduled flight departure.
