Chili’s returns to IAH with new Terminal E opening

Apr 28, 2026

Texas-born favorite expands dining options for travelers at IAH Chilis in Terminal E

Travelers passing through George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) now have a familiar Texas favorite waiting beyond security in Terminal E.

Chili’s has opened in the airport’s newly expanded international terminal, bringing full-service dining, takeaway options and one of the state’s most recognizable restaurant brands back to Bush Airport. The new restaurant, operated by SSP America, adds another layer to the growing lineup of food and beverage offerings as Houston Airports continues modernizing the passenger experience at IAH.

Located post-security past the Terminal E checkpoint, the restaurant offers travelers a place to settle in before a flight, grab a quick bite on a tight connection or enjoy a familiar taste of Texas before heading abroad. The menu includes Chili’s staples ranging from fajitas and burgers to Southwestern Eggrolls, breakfast offerings and grab-and-go options built for travelers on the move.

The opening comes as IAH continues to elevate its food and beverage program, which has earned international recognition.

“IAH connects 48 million passengers each year to destinations across five continents and that global role calls for an experience that is welcoming, reliable and reflective of Houston,” said Jim Szczesniak, director of aviation for Houston Airports. “Our airport dining experience is ranked among the top 10 best in the world, and openings like Chili’s reflect our commitment to bringing trusted brands to travelers.”

For Houston Airports, the arrival of Chili’s reflects a broader strategy to pair recognizable brands with a sense of place, giving passengers an airport experience that feels practical, comfortable and unmistakably Houston.

There is also a homecoming quality to the opening.

Born in Texas and long woven into the state’s casual dining culture, Chili’s brings a brand many travelers already know, but in an airport setting designed for the pace and unpredictability of travel. With full-service seating and takeaway convenience, the concept is built to meet both leisurely and last-minute journeys.
