December 18, 2014

HOUSTON, TX  — VivaAerobus, Mexico’s ultra-low fares airline, celebrates the beginning of operations of the Houston-Guadalajara and Houston-Cancun routes.

The new non-stop service to and from Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and Guadalajara begins with four flights per week, and from Houston and Cancun with five flights per week.

Tickets are on sale starting at $93 (U.S. dollars) for a one-way flight.

“Our partnership with VivaAerobus continues to grow and passengers throughout the Houston region continue to benefit as a result,” said Carl Newman, General Manager for George Bush Intercontinental Airport. “Passengers at IAH continue to enjoy an unprecedented level of connectivity with Latin America and our partners like VivaAerobus are helping to make that connection even stronger.”

VivaAerobus is delighted to connect these important cities and to bring to Houston really low fares, competition and choice to consumers.

Juan Carlos Zuazua, CEO of VivaAerobus, said, “We are on the final stretch of the year and will be closing it with a huge bang and big surprises, probably the biggest since we started operations. The celebration begins today with the exciting announcement of the beginning of these two new services to Houston, which join our already existing Monterrey–Houston flight. We are very excited to keep bringing affordable and convenient options to Houston and we are pretty sure most passengers will find in VivaAerobus the best choice to travel.”
