The Houston Airport System (HAS) aims to become a five-star global air service gateway where the magic of flight is celebrated and that includes providing five-star service to passengers. Two employees working at SSP’s Hard Rock Cafe have taken that to heart.
Dorothy Thomas and James Dirk were recently recognized by the airport due to positive comments from multiple passengers on their service levels. The feedback is collected via comment cards and feedback forms.
Thomas received 49 positive comments since May 2019 and Dirk received 89 positive comments since January 2019. Thomas has worked at the airport for almost 30 years! She is in her fifth year with SSP and works as a bartender. She says, “I treat each customer as if I am serving myself.” She has even encountered passengers who have lost loved ones, and she will hug and pray with them.
Dirk, now in his fifth year at the airport, has a simple philosophy, “I try to make the guest happy.”
