Texas Southern University’s Aviation Science and Technology department recently partnered with the Houston Airport System to hold a Houston Regional Aviation Symposium.
On Oct. 18, aviation professionals and students met at Lone Star Flight Museum for an interesting and valuable overview of aviation, including airports and aerospace. Many topics were discussed in the areas of education, general aviation, Houston business travel, Houston Airport System and Houston Spaceport.
The mission of the Aviation Science and Technology Department is, “to prepare students with the foundation to develop and function as aviation professionals.” The university aims to prepare majors with a base knowledge and skill set for entering the workforce as an entry level aviation professional and/or graduate school.
"The Houston Airport System is pleased to continue a strong partnership with Texas Southern University's Aviation department and act as a resource for the program as they prepare the next generation of leaders in aviation, airports and aerospace," said Houston Airport System Chief Communtiy Officer Rhonda Arnold.
Over 150 guests attended the symposium.
