The Houston Airport System is partnering with the nonprofit organization Guide Dogs of Texas in an effort to make IAH and HOU more “Houston Friendly” for guests with disabilities. 

Efforts are underway to construct post-security service animal relief areas in compliance with new FAA regulations so that four-legged companions can relieve themselves without having to go outside.  A representative of Guide Dogs of Texas visited IAH and HOU to advise airport staff on optimal indoor relief areas as well as to suggest improvements to existing outdoor relief areas.  For more information about Guide Dogs of Texas, visit http://guidedogsoftexas.org/.
