The Houston Airport System Participates in National Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day
May 8, 2017

Houston Airports participated in the National Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day program on April 27 in conjunction with the City of Houston and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

Houston Airports’ employees and their children between the ages of 8 to 18 were recently invited to William P. Hobby and George Bush Intercontinental airports where they experienced interactive learning activities. They got a behind-the-scenes sneak peek into the exciting world of airport operations. The opportunity was beneficial not only to provide a glimpse into careers in avation for the next generation but allowed airport employees the opportunity to show their children the significant impact they are making on a global scale every day at work.

The theme for this year’s event was, “Count on Me!” -- which put the future front and center to indicate the importance of working today for tomorrow’s success. It’s the Houston Airport’s intent for employees to serve as role models and inspire children to attain their full potential.
