Holiday Fun at Houston Airports

Traveling during the holidays can sometimes be a hectic experience, but Houston Airports aimed to enhance the airport experience for travelers.

"The greatest  part of celebrating the holidays is being with friends and family but often that requires traveling," said Houston Airports Director of Special Events and Airport Initiatives Caroline Schneider. "We wanted to  create a cheerful environment in our terminals by bringing the joy of music to our passengers and guest during the busy holiday period. Additionally, it gives us an opportunity to show case our local schools."

Choirs and bands from local schools were on hand through the holidays to entertain travelers. They performed an array of holiday tunes.

One passenger stated, “I am traveling home to Ohio with my 2-year-old, and she is just mesmerized by the choir. She really enjoyed them singing ‘Christmas Don’t Be Late’.”

Santa Clause Makes stop at Houston Airports

It is hard to get anywhere, without first going through Houston and that means Santa Clause too! The jolly guy made a stop at Houston’s airports and had time to spread a little cheer.

“We got here extra early to make sure we had enough time to get through the security lines and get something to eat, so it was great that my littles one got to see Santa Clause while waiting for our flight," said Jason from Houston who was traveling with his wife Emma and children Jason Jr. and Olivia to see family in Nashville.
