HAS Community Relations and Business Affairs Officer Rhonda Arnold recently served as mentor for a seminar at Texas Southern University College of Science, Engineering and Technology Department. The topic of the presentation was "Operation of Transportation Network Companies" and their usage by passengers at airports. Arnold provided professional guidance and direction to several students including the teaching and research assistant for the department. Dr. Carol Lewis, Director of Transportation Studies and Director of the Center for Transportation Training and Research thanked Arnold and the Houston Airport System in helping her to continue to educate students in fundamentals of transportation, urban transportation issues, as well as conducting operational and policy related transportation research.
Additionally, Arnold, who is a member of the TSU Aviation Advisory Board, was asked to participate in the students' presentations for their end-of-year final exam. - Transportation Survey
- Emergency Management & Mitigation
- Air Carrier Management
The purpose of Houston Airports Community Relations is to promote and educate the community, through continued relationships and strategic initiatives that will benefit stakeholders. “We develop and implement plans which will enhance the Houston Airport System’s image to increase public awareness of its operations and activities,” said Arnold. “Through outreach and educational efforts, we are providing service to our community that will help to establish the Houston Airport System as a five-star global air service gateway where the magic of flight is celebrated.”
