January 24, 2015

Roadway modifications, necessary to accommodate construction of a $156 million international terminal at William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) will impact the airport’s passenger drop-off area.

All passenger drop-off traffic will be rerouted to the lower level arrivals area on Friday, January 23, 2015 from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m.

Customers dropping-off a departing passenger are encouraged to arrive at the airport at least two hours prior to their scheduled boarding time.

Customers picking-up an arriving passengers are asked to use the cell phone waiting lot until the passenger has called to say they are reach to picked up on the lower level of the main terminal. The cell phone waiting lot is located off Airport Boulevard, west of the main entry.

The airport will have directional signage on the entry roads to help guide motorists.

Hobby Airport is in its final year of construction on a new five-gate international terminal and four-level parking garage scheduled to open in late 2015. These roadway modifications are needed to complement the massive project.

*Note* This work was originally scheduled for Thursday, January 22 but was postponed due to bad weather.
