Branson Airport Announces Seasonal Nonstop Service on Buzz Airways

Chicago-Midway Airport and Houston-Hobby Airport Service Begins on June 12th

April 3, 2014

BRANSON, MISSOURI (April 3, 2014) – Branson Airport (BKG) is pleased to announce the arrival of Buzz Airways service to both Chicago (Midway) and Houston (Hobby) beginning June 12, 2014.  Fares begin at $99.00* each way including taxes.  Flights will operate in each market six days per week.

The new flights by Buzz will replace the service currently offered on Southwest that is slated to end June 8th.  The flight schedule has been designed to allow customers to book separate tickets on Southwest in order to connect to and from other popular gateways.

“Buzz Airways is here to provide service to communities that have faced a reduction or elimination of flights by the major airlines and their regional partners.  With average load factors in excess of 80%, Southwest has clearly demonstrated the existence of demand in these particular markets,” stated Matt Chaifetz, Chief Commercial Officer of Buzz Airways.  “We are happy to step in to continue to offer low fares, great service, and nonstop flights for the busy summer travel season.”

“We look forward to continued service to Chicago and Houston on Buzz Airways” states Branson Airport Executive Director, Jeff Bourk.  “Our Airport Team is working hard to fill the gap created by Southwest Airlines’ departure and we are focusing on securing replacement air service in 2015.”

Reservations can be made by calling toll free 1-844-I-FLY-BUZZ (1-844-435-9289) or visiting buzzair.com.   Tickets can also be purchased in person at the Branson Airport.  All flights are public charters operated by Corporate Flight Management Inc. d/b/a Buzz Airways as both the indirect and direct air carrier.

* Fares are capacity controlled, subject to change, may require an advance purchase, and may not be available on all seats on all flights. A $25.00 Checked Baggage Fee will apply to the first and second checked bag per person each way. Checked baggage weighing over 50 pounds will be assessed an Overweight Fee of $50.00 in addition to the Checked Baggage Fee.  All passengers will be required to agree to the Operator Participant Agreement, the terms of which are available at buzzair.com
