Robert “Bob” Barker is the Chief Development Officer of the Infrastructure Division for the Houston Airport System (HAS). Barker is responsible for overseeing the administration of design and construction contracts, managing long-term and short-term airport projects, analyzing operations and implementing best practice policies and procedures at HAS. A retired U.S. Navy engineering officer and certified facility manager, Barker has over 20 years international airport development, infrastructure and asset management experience.

Before his role as HAS’ Chief Development Officer of the Infrastructure Division, Barker served as HAS’ Deputy Director for Capital Programs. Prior to assuming this role, Barker was the Executive Representative for the IAH Terminal Redevelopment Program and the Assistant Director for Asset Management. He joined the HAS in November 2012.

His previous work assignments have included asset management leadership positions at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport and the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, and in a variety of consulting engagements at Los Angeles International Airport, Indianapolis International Airport, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Northwest Florida Regional Airport and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
