Houston Texans at Bush Airport

A few members of the Houston Texans recently stopped by George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) to surprise customers and United Airlines employees.

Players Kareem Jackson,  DJ Reader  and Benardrick McKinney issued boarding passes to customers, helped board flights and pushed back plans for departure.

The players were accompanied by the Houston Texans Cheerleaders and mascot, TORO.

Everyone was all smiles and wished the players a successful football season.

Houston Rockets at Hobby Airport

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s Gerald Green?

Three members of the Houston Rockets - Gerald Green, Tarik Black, and Luc Mbah a Moute took on a new role recently when they worked as ground crew members for Southwest Airlines at William P. Hobby Airport (HOU).

This is the third straight year that the airline invited the Rockets to lift the spirits of Southwest passengers and employees.

"It's stressful when you travel. Some of that goes on. I know myself from traveling a lot," said Mbah a Moute. "Every time you can get a little smile or somebody excited about traveling, it's always good." Mbah jokingly told passengers that he would get them to their destination although it might be a shaky flight.

The Rockets and Southwest hosted a child from Make-A-Wish. The child met the Rockets players and helped out with airline duties.
