Houston Airport Interfaith Chapels Establish Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund
September 11, 2017

Houston Airport Interfaith Chapels provides more than just a quiet place to worship or mediate.

The Houston Airport Interfaith Chapels is also a nonprofit organization that holds events throughout the year to raise money for emergency aid and student scholarships for employees or their family members. The daily operations rely on the generosity of many volunteers who serve on the Board of Directors, which is made up of employees representing most sections of the airport community from parking to concessions and administration.

The organization recently established the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund to provide employees who have suffered damage during Hurricane Harvey with monetary aid.

“Hurricane Harvey was an unimaginable disaster for our area and thousands of employees lost cars, homes, and in many cases, everything they own during the historic floods, said Walt Gray President of the Board and Director of Parking for Houston Airports. “We hope money raised through the relief fund will help employees to get back on their feet and realize some sense of normalcy. Whether you work in parking, concessions or for an airline we want to help.”
