Aviation Director Keynotes Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership Luncheon
August 1, 2016

Houston Aviation Director Mario Diaz recently gave an update on the Houston Airports to members of the Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership (BAHEP).

Houston’s commercial air traffic activity has experienced a surge in growth and the Houston Airport System is accommodating that growth with major infrastructure projects and improvements to enhance the travel experience. In addition, The Houston Airport System completed an important step in the functional launch of the Houston Spaceport project with the purchase of an aerospace engineering building and land adjacent to Ellington Airport. Phase 1 of the project is aimed at establishing the Houston Aerospace Support Center as the incubation space for aerospace companies to foster and accelerate key aerospace engineering activities.

Since 1976, the Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership, BAHEP, has been dedicated to defining the future for the people who live and work in its service area of southeast Texas.
