Houston Airports supports Southwest Airlines effort to launch international service

In a memorandum to Mayor Annise Parker, Houston Director of Aviation Mario Diaz recommends the City of Houston work with Southwest Airlines to expand the federal inspection services facility at William P. Hobby Airport to support scheduled commercial international service.

TSA Tests New Screening System in Houston
The Transportation Security Administration will soon be testing a new screening system at George Bush Intercontinental Airport. It is a system that is designed to verify an air traveler's identity by matching photo ID's to boarding passes and ensuring that boarding passes are authentic.

New Flights from Southwest Take Off at Hobby
April proved to be a busy month for the Southwest Airlines team operating at William P. Hobby Airport. The low-cost carrier launched two new flights at HOU on April 22, including non-stops to Kansas City, Missouri and Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina.
