Hobby Construction shuts down the Ticketing Ramp - Traffic now rerouted thru garage A major roadway pavement replacement project shuts down the existing upper-level roadway at Hobby Airport. The roadway closure is scheduled to remain in place for approximately one year. Signage is in place and personnel is on hand to help facilitate during this time. Curbside Check-Ins Curbside check-in is still available to Southwest Airlines customers. The entire operation has been relocated to the ground level floor, which is home to the baggage claim operation. Passenger Drop Offs The location of the Passenger Drop Off area for all airlines has been moved to a new area. Vehicles carrying departing passengers has been rerouted into the second level of the attached parking garage. Drivers are . able to stop momentarily while passengers gather their traveling items. Passengers dropped off in the garage not utilizing curbside check-in will use a crosswalk on the east side of the parking garage transitioning to the main terminal lobby area. During future phases of construction, specific crossing areas and accessibility may change periodically. Passenger Pick Ups Drivers who are on-site to pick up arriving passengers are encouraged to use the Passenger Pick Up Waiting Lot located off of Airport Boulevard. The lot allows drivers to park and wait for the arriving passenger free of charge.
