Traveling with children at IAH? Here are a few travel tips:

SAVE TIME

Check-in online at the website for your airline.

MAKE YOUR SMARTPHONE SMARTER

Add the airport website to your phone: fly2houston.com. This way, for one thing, you can easily search the website's Dining section for Kid-Friendly options while at the airport.

  • On an iPhone, pull up www.fly2houston.com on your browser, then click on the sharing symbol: , +Add to Home Screen, and then Add. From now on, you can easily access the website by clicking on the icon on your home screen.
  • On an Android phone, pull up www.fly2houston.com on your browser, tap the menu button and tap "Add to home screen." From now on, you can easily access the website by clicking on the icon on your home screen.

PLAN AHEAD

  • Check real-time available parking and TSA wait times here.
  • Familiarize yourself and your family with TSA Screening, and consider enrolling in TSA Pre✓. See TSA guidelines for traveling with children here.

TRAVELING WITH BABIES

IAH offers two private nursing rooms (labeled “Lactation Rooms”) for traveling mothers in Terminal C.

  • Terminal C, across from gate C4
  • Terminal C, inside the women's restroom, across from gate C4

A nursery with baby crib and rocking chair is available at Terminal B (upstairs on the way to gates B85-B88) and Terminal D (next to the Chapel, between the KLM Crown Lounge and the British Airways Lounge, opposite gates D8-D9). The Terminal D nursery also has a private restroom.

Most restrooms also offer baby changing tables, including women’s, men’s, and family restrooms.

FIND YOUR WAY

Print out airport maps. These maps include the locations of Family Restrooms (Terminals A, B, C, E), denoted by this symbol and nurseries (Terminals B and D), denoted by this symbol .

LOCATE YOUR GATE

It is a must at IAH, which has five terminals, to locate your terminal and gate in advance: open the fly2houston.com website and enter your flight information. Select your flight and your gate information and flight status will be displayed

ARRIVE WITH EASE

Drop off your family and luggage curbside and park in one of our convenient parking facilities. Remember, the check-in for some United Airlines flights is NOT at the departure terminal!

FIND FOOD

Search for kid-friendly (or gluten-free, or vegetarian, etc.) and other dining options here.

LOVE MUSIC?

Check when and where the next Harmony in the Air performance will be.

LOVE ART?

Check out Houston Airports’ art collection.

LOVE TRAINS?

Move easily between all five terminals post-security on the complimentary Skyway inter-terminal train. View map here.

Skyway entrances are:

  • Terminal A: near gate A1 in the connector between A South and A North
  • Terminal B: before gate B76
  • Terminal C: before gate C24
  • Terminals D & E: in the connector between terminals D and E
