Ground Transportation

Visitors to Bush Intercontinental Airport have a variety of transfer and transportation options available to them once they arrive in Houston. This includes taxis, private limousines, SuperShuttle shared-ride service, scheduled buses/shuttles, courtesy vans, and even public bus (METRO) transportation. Services can take you to your nearby or downtown hotel or wherever your local travel takes you to in the surrounding area. Shuttle service is even available to the Galveston beach area.

Most shuttle services are available at the south side of Terminals A, B and C and at the west end of D. Check in the terminal for specific locations.

SuperShuttle Shared-Ride Service


SuperShuttle now provides ground transportation services at George Bush Intercontinental and William P. Hobby airports.

SuperShuttle takes reservations and picks-up travelers at their homes or businesses and transports them to the airports and vice versa. For reservations or for more information call 713.523.8888 or visit www.supershuttle.com.

Courtesy Vans


Courtesy vans are operated by the various hotels/motels in and around the airport . Use the courtesy telephones in the baggage claim area to request pick-up for most hotels/motels in the airport area.


Taxis

Taxis can be hailed through the Ground Transportation employees outside each terminal.

All destinations within Houston's city limits to/from Bush Intercontinental Airport are charged according to the flat Zone Rate or the meter rate, whichever is LESS.  In addition:

» City ordinance authorizes the cab driver to add an additional $2.75 departure fee to the total fare.

» Two or more passengers going to the same destination shall only be charged one fare.

» Late night surcharge - $1.00 per trip (8:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.)

» Senior citizens 10% discount.


Taxi Credit Card Options

1. Drivers MUST be able to offer regular credit card service instead on TAXIPASS if the customer refuses TAXIPASS and the $4.50 fee.

2. If the customer agrees to use TAXIPASS there is a $4.50 voucher fee.

3. Drivers MUST accept all major credit cards.

Public Bus Service - Houston METRO

Houston Metropolitan Transit Authority (METRO) Website

The Houston Metropolitan Transit Authority (METRO) offers bus service available at the south side of Terminal C. Metro Bus 102 picks up on the south side of Terminal C street level (baggage claim) and stops at the downtown Metro station. Visit the Houston METRO website for specific route and schedule information.
