Airport Travel Advisory

General Procedures

Motorists can drop off and pick up passengers at the curb but vehicles will not be allowed to park adjacent to the terminals.

In the terminals all passengers must check-in at the airline ticket counters and have a government-issued picture identification, such as a driver's license. Please be prepared to show ID and your boarding pass various times before boarding your flight. Only ticketed passengers are allowed beyond the security checkpoint. If you have an electronic ticket call the airline before coming to the airport. The airlines will determine what ticket documentation (tickets, boarding passes, or reservation confirmations) their security screeners will allow to pass through the checkpoints. Persons wishing to meet travelers in the terminal should wait for passengers at the baggage claim area.

The following are answers to some frequently asked questions:

Will I be allowed to meet an arriving passenger at the gate?

No one without a ticket will be allowed beyond the security checkpoint. Provisions will be made for parents who need to meet unaccompanied minors, for disabled persons and persons with special needs who need to be accompanied by healthcare assistants or guardians, and for medical personnel who need to respond to a medical emergency beyond the checkpoint.
