Lisa Kent is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the Houston Airport System. Kent oversees the strategic planning, development and support activities for a variety of technology systems and applications for all three airports.
Kent works to enable and enhance communications and optimize business processes for all HAS business units, tenants, and the more than 50 million passengers who utilize Houston’s airports each year. Her team’s specific objectives exist in the areas of mobility, efficiency, asset preservation, security, passenger facilitation, situational awareness, team collaboration and employee engagement.
With an aviation career spanning almost 20 years, Kent has made an immediate impact to the passenger experience since serving in the CTO role. Kent has implemented innovation and technology into several customer-focused programs, including the design of an online tool that shares wait times for security checkpoints in real-time. She is now leading the effort to offer free and reliable Wi-Fi at the airports in the near future.
Kent was recently recognized with an honorable mention for the 2013 Information Technology Leadership Award for technological advancement.
Kent earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee.
