Ellington Field is Houston's joint use civil/military facility. Owned and operated by the City of Houston, it is located approximately 15 miles from the central business district.
Ellington Field has easy access to all forms of transportation. It is ten minutes from Hobby Airport and near area attractions such as Space Center Houston , Galveston Bay and the University of Houston Clear-Lake.
From downtown Houston - take the Gulf Freeway (I-45) southbound and exit at Dixie Farm Road (FM1959) [Exit#30], head east on FM1959. This will take you straight into Ellington Field.
