1. In passenger volume, the Houston Airport System (HAS) ranks as the fourth-largest multi-airport system in the United States and the sixth-largest in the world. HAS is comprised by George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) and Ellington Field (EFD).
   
   
2. Passenger aircraft as well as dedicated, scheduled and chartered air cargo freighters fly approximately 120 domestic and 70 international destinations within 28 countries from Houston. Bush Intercontinental Airport ranks third in the United States in nonstop destinations served, with nonstop service to nearly 190 international and domestic markets.
   
   
3. IAH, Houston’s largest airport and the largest hub for Continental Airlines, offers daily non-stop and direct flights to major cities in Europe, Mexico, Latin America and Asia. EFD is a joint-use military and civilian airport and serves as a base of operations for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and corporate charters, as well as several other federal agencies.
   
   
4. IAH is ranked as the 11th-largest international air cargo gateway in the United States and remains in the top 20 nationally for total air cargo volume.
