Ongoing Construction - Traffic Information   

Because of ongoing construction for the extension of George Bush Intercontinental Airport’s automated people mover (above ground train) to Terminal A, travelers to the airport should expect the following roadway changes:

Description

May 8 to May 16, 2008

7 a.m. to
5 p.m. 

There will be one alternate lane closure on North Terminal Road between terminal A and Terminal B due to a lane closure.  
May 11 to May 15 10 p.m. to
6 a.m.
There will be only one entry helix open to the public.  All parking traffic for Terminal C should follow signs to enter the garage. 
The Sure Park and Executive Parking customer area will still be fully operational throughout this construction time. 
May 4 to May 8, 2008  11 p.m. to 6 a.m.

There will be one alternate lane closure due to powerwashing of the East passenger drop off area of Terminal C.

May 1 to May 2, 2008

 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be one alternate lane closure on North Terminal Road between terminal A and Terminal B due to a lane closure.  
May 5 to May 15, 2008 

 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Monday-Thursday

There will be one alternate lane closure on North Terminal Road between terminal A and Terminal B due to a lane closure.
May 5 to May 6, 2008  10 p.m. to 5 p.m. There will be one alternate lane closure on the North and South side of North Terminal Road between Terminal A and Terminal B.

Height restrictions on North Terminal Road, near the north side of Terminal A, have been reduced to 13 feet and 6 inches because of construction. Vehicles taller than 13 feet and 6 inches should contact 281.230.3100 to be escorted through the airport.
