[1] General Aviation Hangars

In response to public requests for additional general aviation accommodations at Ellington Field, the Houston Airport System has embarked on the construction of more than 40 hangar units, doubling the current general aviation hangar capacity. The new hangars, which will be used to house single engine and light twin-engine aircraft, will be located with direct access to the airfield. Land has also been allocated for future construction of additional hangars if the demand for general aviation activity continues to increase.

The three-phased ramp improvement program will also include repair of the airfield pavements on the inner and outer ramps.
