A Dallas developer said today it will build a $50 million industrial project on Texas 3 across from Ellington Field.
The 50-acre project is part of a $120 million program launched by Koll Development Co. and Birmingham, Ala.-based Harbert Management Corp. to build industrial real estate in the southern part of the U.S.
Development will take place in two phases. The first phase will include three buildings totaling 500,000 square feet; and the second — to begin in 2010 — will comprise 320,000 square feet in two structures.
Construction on the Houston development will begin in April, with completion scheduled for December.
Koll said it plans to break ground on four more projects this year.
John Ferruzzo and Griff Bandy of NAI Houston will lease the buildings for Koll. Azimuth Architecture will design the project.
