Airport Rangers Ride in 2013 Thanksgiving Day Parade

The Airport Rangers don’t just help increase security efforts at IAH, they also like to get out into the community to create awareness of the program.

The Airport Rangers had a change of scenery, leaving the wooded trails surrounding Bush Intercontinental Airport for the streets of downtown Houston amid skyscrapers and freeways to join the 2013 Thanksgiving Day Parade. The Rodeo Parade filled the streets with horses, wagons and music, welcoming trail riders in grand fashion with marching bands and floats in a celebration of Western heritage.

Airport Rangers are mounted security patrol made up of volunteers, including off-duty law enforcement officers that ride their horses along the perimeter of the 13,000 acre Bush Intercontinental Airport.
