Houston Celebrates A Guinness World Record Set at Ellington Airport

Houston, TX (May 7, 2013) – Mayor Annise Parker, Hennessey Performance executives and Ellington Airport officials celebrate a special award in front of City Hall on Wednesday, May 8, 2013. Get an up close and personal look at the Venom GT, one of the “fastest” cars in the world which set a Guinness World Record earlier this year at Ellington Airport. The chance to put the pedal to the metal kicks off at the Aeros & Autos festival this weekend at Ellington Airport. This family-friendly event will feature the debut of "Jet" our airport mascot and brings the best of the transportation worlds, airplanes and automobiles to Houston’s oldest airport.
