Air China's Houston-Beijing Service Now Ready for Booking
Business and leisure travelers can now book their trip to Beijing and beyond from Houston. Scheduled to start on July 11, 2013, Air China's new service between Houston and Beijing was approved by the U.S. Department of Transportation on January 17, 2013.

International Travel Continues to Climb
More than 8.7 million passengers traveled on international flights at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in 2012, the highest total ever recorded in the 43 year history of the airport.

United Airlines Unveils Baggage Deliver Option
United Airlines is now offering a baggage delivery service, enabling customers to have their checked bags delivered directly to their final destinations and allowing them to skip the baggage claim process upon their arrival.

Houston Airports Move Toward Free Wi-Fi
The Houston Airport System is moving forward with definite plans to bring its customers free Wi-Fi service in the near future. Free Wi-Fi could be in place for customers at both George Bush Intercontinental Airport and William P. Hobby Airport by the end of 2013.

Houston's Ellington Airport provided the backdrop as a high performance automobile established a new speed record on January 10, 2013. The world's fastest production car to reach 300 kilometers per hour from a standing start set the mark while driving down an Ellington Airport runway.





Houston Airports Present Hobby Expansion Plans
Houston aviation director Mario C. Diaz presented expansion plans to City Council Members on February 4, outlining how William P. Hobby Airport will transition itself into a facility capable of accommodating international air traffic.


Spirit Airlines Announces Nonstops to Los Angeles
In the latest of a string of new air service announcements, Spirit Airlines is starting ultra low fare service between Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport and Los Angeles International Airport on April 25, 2013.
