The Houston Airport System is making it easy for passengers to enjoy the gift of giving by participating in three very special holiday campaigns.
The Houston Airport System is taking an active role in spreading the holiday cheer this year, playing a key role in the support of several charitable events.

These events and charitable drives include the Treat Our Troops Program, the Toys For Tots Program and the Snowball Express event.

Treat Our Troops

Treat Our Troops is a program designed to collect certain items needed by United States military personnel. The list includes items that are designed to make air travel easier, such as travel-sized toiletries, snacks, magazines, neck pillows and blankets. Passengers can purchase the items at certain locations (shown below) and then donate them to the troops through the local USO.

Terminal A

Bayou City Travelmart (near Gates 25 – 30)

Terminal C

Bayour City Travelmart (near Gates 14 – 23)
CNBC (Near Gates 29 – 33)

Toys For Tots

Several retail shops at IAH are participating in the 2012 Toys For Tots Program. Passengers who purchase any item at the stores listed below can then donate the item so that it’s distributed by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Unit to less fortunate children in the community. The program lists its primary goal as “spreading a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.”

The IAH stores participating are:

Terminal A

Explore Houston (near Gates 25-30)

Terminal B

Sue Venir (near Gates 84-91)

Terminal C

KidZoo (near Gates 14-23)
Houston Marketplace (near Gates 29 - 33)

Snowball Express

The Snowball Express event provides hope and new memories to the children of military fallen heroes who have died while on active duty since the tragedy of September 11, 2001. The program gathers together hundreds of children from across the country for special events such as free concerts and backstage tours of locations such as Cowboy’s Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

American Airlines serves as the official airline carrier for the program and works hand-in-hand with key personnel with the Houston Airport System in order to ensure that the young people departing from IAH are treated to a red carpet experience.
