A new Pappas Bar-B-Q restaurant is coming to William P. Hobby Airport.
A new dining option is set to make its debut at William P. Hobby Airport (HOU).

Pappas Bar-B-Q will open its doors by the start of the 3rd quarter of 2012.

Customers will soon be able to visit the popular eatery in the heart of the Hobby Airport lobby, located immediately next to the main entryway doors.

“One of the primary goals of our concessions program is to make sure that our airports reflect the flavor of Houston,” says Randy Goodman, Houston Airports’ general manager of concessions. “With that goal in mind, Bar-B-Q is an absolute must on the menu.”

At Hobby Airport, guests already have access to both a Pappadeux Seafood Kitchen, a Pappas Burger Restaurant and a Pappasito's Cantina.

Unlike those restaurants however, the Pappas Bar-B-Q eatery will be located within the public area of HOU, prior to the security screening area.

As a result, it will be accessible to both ticketed passengers and those who may be dropping off or picking up.

“Part of the design calls for patio seating within the lobby area, just outside the main dining area,” Goodman says. “So, in addition to the great food, there’s going to be a relaxed atmosphere that both passengers and their families can enjoy.”

Pappas Bar-B-Q has strong roots in the Houston area. The popular chain got its start in 1967 with a small restaurant opening in the downtown area.
