Hobby Airport Construction Update
William P. Hobby Airport announces effective April 3, 2012, the curbside check-in operation for Southwest Airlines will be moved back to its previous location along the west end of the upper-level roadway and the primary crosswalk, which leads pedestrians to the main lobby entrance, will be re-opened at the same time.

The cargo operation at George Bush Intercontinental Airport had two major celebrations take place in March 2012: a top place finish in the premiere industry excellence survey and the arrival of new service to Manchester, England.

Refunding Transaction Yields Positive Savings for Houston Airports
Houston Airports and the City of Houston recently completed a refunding transaction of subordinate lien general airport revenue bonds. The transaction is expected to close on April 5, 2012. The refunding transaction reduced future debt service payments by $55.6 million on a net present value basis.

President Obama Lands at Ellington Airport
President Barack Obama made a big splash at Ellington Airport recently, flying into Houston on March 9 in the midst of a severe thunderstorm. Dozens of people gathered under the safety of a hangar facility at Ellington Airport, barely seeming to mind the fact that Air Force One was delayed almost 30 minutes by the downpour.

New Flights for Hobby Airports' Spring Schedule
