Location and convenience are two key factors in the early success of Flite 281 Express in Terminal A.
Passengers at George Bush Intercontinental Airport are giving a big thumbs-up to a new walk-up eatery in Terminal A.

“Flite 281 Express” is attracting a solid stream of customers with a very straightforward menu concept that includes ready-to-go fare and premium spirits.

“It’s proven to be extremely popular from day-one,” says Randy Goodman, Houston Airports' general manager of concessions. “People like the simplicity of the concept and the easy accessibility.”

Sitting between gates 11 and 15 in the northern section of the Terminal A facility, the walk-up eatery offers a surprisingly large number of options to its customers. Ready-to-go sandwiches and salads are available, as well as a variety of different pastries.

Passengers can also opt for a mixed drink, juice or coffee on their choice of beverage.

“It’s a perfect situation for passengers in that area,” Goodman says. “If they feel that they have enough time, then they walk over to the food court and enjoy a sit-down meal. But if they’re close to their departure time and they want to keep their gate within their line of sight, then Flite 281 Express is a fantastic option for them.”
