Schedule Changes Land at Hobby Airport
Southwest Airlines and Delta Airlines are both making significant alterations to their Houston schedules. Southwest Airlines is adding non-stop service to Atlanta, Georgia and Delta Airlines is moving its Cincinnati flight from George Bush Intercontinental Airport to William P. Hobby Airport.

Terminal B Expansion Approved
Members of Houstons City Council have unanimously agreed to a billion-dollar deal to renovate and expand Terminal B at George Bush Intercontinental Airport. Council Members voiced their approval for the agreement struck between the Houston Airport System and United Continental Holdings, Inc., during their August 10 meeting.

Frontier Expands Service at Hobby Airport
Low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines is set to begin non-stop service between William P. Hobby Airport and Kansas City International Airport starting on November 1, 2011. Frontier Airlines will operate one daily flight departing Houston at 1:15 p.m. A second flight, departing at 8:30 a.m., will be available on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Behind-the-scenes look for GHP members
More than 80 members of the Greater Houston Partnership boarded ecopark, the airports eco-friendly shuttles and took a tour of George Bush Intercontinental Airport recently. The Community Relations team created the tour, which included a visit to see the new global entry kiosks for expedited international travel and a tour of the cargo areas.

Water Conservation is Key at Houston Airports
Houston Airports is implementing several water conservation measures, as the City of Houston continues to cope with severe drought conditions. In accordance with the city's water shortage response plan, Houston Airports is aiming to reduce its water usage by 10 percent.

Safety Record Recognized at Bush Airport
George Bush Intercontinental Airport ranks as the third safest airport in the nation according to a new study conducted by Travel + Leisure magazine. The study analyzed data from the nations 35 busiest airports and covered operations from 2006 to 2010.
