More than 80 members of the Greater Houston Partnership attended a behind-the-scenes tour at George Bush Intercontinental Airport.
More than 80 members of the Greater Houston Partnership (GHP) boarded ecopark, the airport’s eco-friendly shuttles and took a tour of George Bush Intercontinental Airport recently.

Some of the city’s movers and shakers had an in depth look at future plans for expansion and financial goals. The Community Relations team created the tour which included a visit to see the new global entry kiosks for expedited international travel and a tour of the cargo areas.

"The Community Relations team looks forward to providing information and educating our business leaders,” says Rhonda Arnold, director of community relations for Houston Airports. “Together with the operations team, IAH welcomed the opportunity to share an in depth overview of our state of the art facilities and how we make it happen each and every day."

The day wrapped up with a presentation by aviation director Mario C. Diaz who discussed the new taxiways planned for larger aircraft and additional plans to keep the airport system competitive.

City Council member Michael Sullivan was along for the excursion. ”As you know, the GHP recently conducted a comprehensive tour of IAH for its members," the Councilman said.  "I attended and was impressed with the depth of information covered, knowledge of HAS personnel, and could not help but notice positive comments from those on the tour."
