Southwest Airlines introduces a new route at Hobby Airport

  Southwest Airlines non stop service to Newark, NJ begins on June 5, 2011.
 
Beginning this week on June 5, 2011, Southwest Airlines is introducing service between Houston and New Jersey with two daily nonstop flights between William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR).

“We’re excited about the new nonstop service to Newark that Southwest Airlines is providing to customers,” says Perry Miller, Hobby Airport general manager. “Southwest is a valued airline at Hobby and we look forward to expanding our great relationship.”

Southwest is the only carrier at Hobby Airport that offers nonstop service to Newark. In addition, the new route will give Southwest customers flying to Houston the ability to connect to 16 destinations including Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Phoenix.

Southwest Airlines is the nation's largest carrier in terms of originating domestic passengers boarded and now serves 72 cities in 37 states.
