New air service continues to arrive in Houston.

2011 has been good for Houston’s global reach. As of March 2011, Houston’s airports have announced 126 additional weekly flights for George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) and William P. Hobby (HOU) Airport customers.

Currently, the Houston Airport System (HAS) offers 179 nonstop destinations; roughly 5,803 flights per week. Sixty-eight of those weekly flights will be introduced in April and May, including three brand new markets and additional service to three markets already served at Houston’s Airports.

“The Houston Airport System is excited to have continued growth in our air service,” says Genaro Peña, Houston Airport System director of air service development. “The additional flights and availability of new nonstop markets greatly improve travel opportunities for Houston customers.”
