Mutt Strut & Runway Race 2011

On March 5th, the Houston Airport System and the Houston Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals will celebrate the fourth Mutt Strut & Runway Race.

Calling all dogs! The 2011 Mutt Strut & Runway Race encourages all dogs and their owners to participate in the fun.

The Houston Airport System (HAS) and the Houston Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) present the 4th Mutt Strut & Runway Race on Saturday, March 5, 2011.

The 2011 Mutt Strut & Runway Race encourages participants to bring out their dogs and walk, run or strut along one of the busy runways at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). The unique setting and the opportunity to raise money and awareness for the Houston SPCA makes this event extremely popular.

There will be a competitive 5K (3.1 mile) run, a "Strut for Mutts" non-competitive walk/run with your favorite dog(s), the “What a Mutt” contest, food, fun and entertainment for the entire family.

All funds raised at this event will be donated to the Houston SPCA to support the programs designed to improve the quality of life for animals in the Houston community.
