Bill FitzGibbons received a bachelor of fine arts in sculpture and art history from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and a master of fine arts in sculpture and multimedia from Washington University in St. Louis.

There have been many exhibitions of his work both nationally and internationally, as he has participated in numerous public lectures and conferences.

Bill’s involvement in public art commissions has extended to projects in Texas, Rhode Island, Florida and Alaska, as well as in Stockholm, Sweden, Helsinki, Finland, and Hampshire County, England.
