Bush Intercontinental Airport Gains Alaska Airlines Nonstop Flights to Seattle

The Houston Airport System (HAS) announces the arrival of Alaska Airlines and its new nonstop service connecting Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and Seattle’s Sea-Tac Airport (SEA). The new service begins on September 23, 2009 and will feature the airlines spacious Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Alaska Airlines will officially begin operations in Houston with the arrival of their first flight, scheduled to touch down at approximately 3:20 p.m. CST. Alaska Airlines is the latest in a string of carriers to establish operations in the Houston market during the past year. The airline, recently ranked number one in domestic on-time performance for the fourth consecutive month, brings additional nonstop options to one of the most exciting destinations in the country. Like Houston, Seattle is a coastal city that’s been experiencing unprecedented growth over the past several years.
