The Houston Interfaith Chapels invite you to the 18th Annual IAH Charity Classic Golf Tournament on Wednesday, October 14 at the Cypresswood Golf Club located at 21602 Cypresswood Dr., Spring, TX.
The tournament is a major fundraiser for the Houston Airport's Interfaith Chapels that provide a place of comfort, meditation, worship and aid for the traveling public.
In addition, proceeds of the golf tournament help fund the Blackie Lochridge Scholarship, which awarded six area students nearly $10,000 in scholarships in May 2009. Thousands of dollars are also donated to several area organizations each holiday season.
Be part of the spirit of giving and have some fun by being a sponsor or participating in this year's IAH Charity Classic Golf Tournament. Donations are also needed and all donations are tax deductible. The entry deadline is Monday, October 5.

Entry Fee
$90
Includes green fees, cart rental, range balls, ditty bag, refreshments, lunch reception, one entry into the raffle drawing. Additionally, each player will receive a ticket valid toward one green fee and half cart fee or a future round of gold at Cypresswood Golf Club.

· 11:00 a.m. - Shotgun Start
· 4:00 p.m. - Dinner Reception and Awards (Dinner donated by Pappas Restaurants/4 Families of Houston)

The Interfaith Chapels have been part of the Houston Airport System since Bush Intercontinental Airport first opened. The idea for an airport chapel in Houston was inspired by Kathryn Claflin after visiting the Prayer Chapel in the New Orleans Airport in February, 1967. The first chapel at IAH opened to the public in Terminal B the day the new Houston airport opened on June 8, 1969. Our current chapel at Bush IAH is in Terminal C and was dedicated in 1993. We are excited about the new chapel opening in Terminal D in the fall of 2009. The chapel at William P. Hobby Airport opened in August, 2005, and is in the Baggage Claim area. Brett Jones is the Executive Chaplain for the Houston Airport System and is assisted by many ministers and volunteers to carry out the mission of the chapel– serving airport visitors and the airport community. The Chapel strives to collect donations in order to continue its ministry. All gifts are tax-deductible as the Houston Airport Interfaith Chapels is a non-profit 501 ( c ) (3) organization.
