The Houston Airport System’s marketing, communications & community affairs division (MCCA) was recognized with five awards from Airport Council International North America (ACI-NA), which represents more than 150 airports throughout the United States and Canada.
The team directed by Houston Airport System Deputy Director, Robert Wigington, received the second highest number of awards presented to more than 60 airports that entered the competition.
“We are very honored to be selected by our peers with this national recognition,” said Robert Wigington, Houston Airport System deputy director of marketing, communications and community affairs. “I am very pleased to have so many talented people who are devoted to developing creative ways to communicate and market our airports to the world.”
The Excellence in Airport Marketing and Communications contest allows the organization to recognize the quality of work, abundance of talent, and creativity within the marketing and communications field of the airport industry.
“ACI-NA congratulates the winners of the 2009 Excellence in Marketing and Communications Contest,” said ACI-NA President Greg Principato. “These award-winning entries help promote a positive view of airports throughout their communities and North America. The contest allows airports to showcase their best marketing and communications efforts that serve their stakeholders, including the flying public, airline partners, tenants, and employees.” |
